Radon Testing

Radon, Family, New Home, Gutters, Condos, Houses, Apartments, Driveway, Ventilation, Morgage, ISN

Why is Radon Testing Important?

Radon is a naturally occurring gas seeping out of the ground. It is the second leading cause of lung cancer in America, just behind smoking. Radon testing should be conducted in all homes to ensure that the colorless, odorless gas doesn’t harm occupants. We test for Radon to make sure levels are within the EPA's Standards.

What does EPA recommend?

  • If you are buying a home or selling your home, have it tested for radon.
  • For a new home, ask if radon-resistant construction features were used and if the home has been tested.
  •  Fix the home if the radon level is 4 picocuries per liter, or pCi/L, or higher. Radon levels less than 4 pCi/L still pose a risk, and in many cases, may be reduced.

The Good News!

A Radon problem can be fixed using a relatively inexpensive to remediate radon. Plus, don't forget about our 120-day Radon Protection Plan.
